Museum Matters May 23

Hello Readers

Just a little update on things that matter at the museum.

This weekend we are hosting visitors from the VGR Ride the Rails Marketing Training day, as they enjoy there lunch. Its lovely to be able assist VGR and provide a space and a cuppa. Especially on a cold day.

In the Evening May 6th the Museum has the live band The Detonators playing. Evening kicks off at 7-30pm entry is $20. A very responsible price and guaranteeing a great night to be had. We do hope you can enjoy this night with us.

Now for the Museum. We have been busy painting the shop and its coming along nicely, Any ideas for items to stock it are most welcome. If you are a museum member and make items, we would be happy to consider selling some for you, with a small commission to the museum. Please bear in mind we only have a small space.

Plans for the butcher shop and the Tori shed are coming along nicely. Gardening, dusting and maintenance of the area is always an ongoing challenge, any assistance is always welcome.

We are still seeking volunteers to help with opening the museum on Sundays. Please consider this, if we get enough interested we hope to only need to roster you on once every two months.

Coming Up- Busy Busy months ahead. A number of groups have already booked in for future tours.

Both “Maldon in Winter” and the “Gothic Festival” are looking at being huge events for the museum, if you are available to assist at this time we would appreciate your support.

That’s all for now. Wishing you all well.
