Our museum is run by our volunteers and members. We aim to open at the times listed below, but things do pop up from time to time. It is best that you give us a call first, particularly if you are travelling some distance to get to us. We can be contacted on 0408 146 537.
Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays: 10AM-3PM
Sundays: 2nd Sunday of the Month : 10AM-1PM
Except for Special Events.
ADMISSION IS BY DONATION.
The museum does not receive any government funding and relies on public donations.
You will be asked for a donation upon entry.

Our members raise money for our museum by catering at events and setting up equipment. We hold and host annual events, such as the Easter Machinery Rally, the Goldfields Gothic Festival, the Maldon Folk Festival, and other private events
These events provide much-needed funds that go towards the cost of maintenance and new exhibits. We are now at the stage where we are seeking as much support as possible. We are bursting at the seams and desperately need to expand. The museum has so much more to offer.
PLEASE NOTE – We are subject to volunteer availability; there are times when our volunteers have personal issues, and we are unable to open the museum.
The museum may close 45 minutes before closing time. Volunteers believe that to appreciate the museum collection properly, a minimum of 45 minutes is required.
